Providing educational assistance to strengthen and support poor and needy children in the world to become self-sustainable in independent living.
I'm Jill Carty, Founder and President of The Julia Project Foundation, our unique children's charity.
My compassion for children was stirred again after being moved by the many needs and obstacles facing young HIV/AIDS orphaned African children I met while visiting Kenya with my husband, Jim, in the winter of 2007.
To meet these needs, after coming home from that first African journey, The Julia Project was born.
A five year old little package, with a huge heart, Julia instinctively understood the importance of helping those less fortunate as she actively engaged in saving 1,700 pennies to help needy children.
Take some time to meet an amazing team of dedicated volunteers who are committed to helping hurting children. They know how to roll up their sleeves and get the job done.
Julia, our charity's namesake, and I extend a warm welcome to you.
