Children Helping Children

Canadian Kids Helping Kenyan Kids

Local children helping children in Kenya was an exciting event at a Vacation Bible School held in Buckhorn, Ontario, this past July. Our children’s charity was chosen as the group’s international project featured to bring awareness of the needs of others less fortunate in other countries.

Pennies Gallore!

This amazing group of youngsters, ranging in age from 3 to 18 years, took on our challenge to help. All week long they were busy collecting pennies and coins to be sent to our school project in the village of Garissa, Kenya.

Amazing Results

138 children raised $150.93! Now that’s an impressive example of children helping children in need.

Photos, along with the funds raised and the story of how these Canadian children helped, will soon arrive at the village school.

Local children helping children in Kenya by counting coins and rolling pennies collected during The Julia Project challenge.

All the pennies poured out on the floor ready for the helpers counting coins for Kenyan kids.

The coins, almost all pennies, were collected and painstakingly rolled by Julia and her siblings. This wonderful family, always ready and willing to help out, worked for many weeks counting coins and getting them ready to be deposited to our bank account.

We pitched in at the very end with a tiny bit of help, but they really did a great job of this project themselves.

Thank You So Much

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Rylee, Isaac, Julia and Emmit for a job well done!

Thank you to every one of the children at the VBS, Julia and her siblings included, who took on our challenge to help.

Thank you to the organizers and staff of the VBS who invited us and gave us this wonderful opportunity.

Asante Sana - Swahili Thank You Very Much

As a result of all these efforts, an African child will know that they are not forgotten and that someone cares.

A Canadian child will know the value and joy of impacting the life of someone who cannot help themselves.

Donate to help kids. Together we can make a difference!
