Local Seniors Group Get Involved

Sponsored Links
The local Harvey-Smith Community Seniors club hosted The Julia Project in the fall of 2008.

Jim and I were treated to both a wonderful lunch and a wonderful time, with such a warm and welcoming group.

After our meal, they all settled in to hear Jim and I share our hearts about our travels to Kenya and our vision for our children's charity, The Julia Project Foundation.

Good Sports

Part of the fun was showing off some of the artefacts we had brought back from Garissa.

Two of the seniors obliged our request and volunteered to model the traditional clothing worn in Garissa.

Generous Donations

Not only did we receive a generous donation from the group, but several individuals came forward after we had spoken and tucked money into our coin box that was part of our display.

Every donation, large or small, goes to help needy children.

Thank You

Our heartfelt thanks to Joan Edwards, our good friend who booked us for this, our very first, speaking engagement. It will always be a dear memory for both of us.

Donate to help kids. Together we can make a difference!
