Meet Julia
The Inspiration For Our Project's Name

Julia's ProjectJulia was moved to action to help children in poverty at the tender age of five. She had already developed compassion for those less fortunate and said if she was poor herself, she would want someone to help her.
She started saving pennies that she eventually gave to our pastor to go to mission work.
Jim and I were setting off on our own private mission to Garissa, Kenya, at that time, and were honored to be asked to take Julia's money with us. We took her money with the promise that we would be sure it met a need in Garissa.
Those 1,700 pennies bought three soccer balls for some wonderful African school children at the local school our project assists. The African school had very limited supplies and the children were playing with homemade balls of wadded up plastic when Jim and I first visited.
Julia impacted the lives of young African children with her thoughtfulness.
Way to go Julia!
