Meet the Board of Directors, who volunteer their time and talents to
fulfill the vision of helping children around the world. The Julia
Project Foundation would not be complete without them. They bring a
wealth of wisdom and knowledge to the table when we meet.
Their
varied backgrounds in the business world, most as parents themselves,
all with brilliant wit and humor and a strong sense of compassion and
justice, keep us inspired and moving forward in our vision.

Jill Carty - Founder/President In 2007, Jill finally stepped out to explore what was in her heart from a child - to meet and help children in Africa. |
After
her first trip to Kenya, with her husband Jim, she returned home to
Canada with that compassion burning even stronger. Inspired by her five year old friend Julia, the wheels were set in motion, and
the charity had it's humble beginnings.
Jill is a child at heart,
who loves people, always enjoys a good laugh, and is dedicated to
helping others become the best they can be. The Julia Project has become
one of her passions and she's never looked back.

Emily St Pierre - Secretary Emily is the second oldest of four siblings, and having grown up the
daughter of two incredible children's pastors, her experience and love
of children have, without a doubt, come naturally. |
Her heart continues to grow towards working with children in the future, and she dreams of one day going to Africa herself.
She also confesses to never wanting to grow up and believes she will always have an uncanny obsession with juice boxes.
Emily's heart is to see children in unfortunate situations and circumstances helped and brought to a better place.
We honor the memory of her mother Laurie, through the Laurie St Pierre Scholarship Fund.

Curtis Little - Vice President/Director A retired Ontario
Provincial Police Officer, after 32 ½ years of service, Curt has a passion for ‘all things motorcycle’. He serves as Founder/President of the local Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle club chapter. |
Hooking up with The Julia Project’s annual Charity Motorcycle Run was a natural fit, and it wasn’t long before we recruited his experience and abilities on our ride committee and shortly afterwards as a valued board director.
A self described army brat, his family moved 20 times in their first 19 years together while his father served in the Canadian Military. We’re glad they finally settled back in Ontario, close to The Julia Project, where Curt, and his family, passionately serve ‘our kids’, believing in our vision and purpose.

Our organization wouldn't be what it is today without the endless hours
of hard work, suggestions, guidance, wisdom and prayers, that our
Advisory Board volunteers bring to The Julia Project. Our 'Meet The Board' page just wouldn't be complete without sharing them with you.
