Meet the Board of Directors who volunteer their time and talents to fulfill the vision of helping children around the world. The Julia Project Foundation would not be complete without them. They bring a wealth of wisdom and knowledge to the table when we meet.
Their varied backgrounds in the business world, most as parents themselves, all with brilliant wit and humor and a strong sense of compassion and justice, keep us inspired and moving forward in our vision.
In 2007, Jill finally stepped out to explore what was in her heart from a child — to meet and help children in Africa.
She loves the challenges of being on the mission field.
Jill is a child at heart who loves people, always enjoys a good laugh, and is dedicated to helping others become the best they can be. She is a Registered Professional International Redesigner who enjoys Home Staging, Organizing, Colour Consulting, and all things design.
Adam loves being a Canadian and feels privileged to live in this amazing country but has enjoyed travel to other countries with The Julia Project as well.
Adam has four beautiful children with his wife Sara, and loves spending time in the great outdoors. He is honored to be able to help children in need and considers himself fortunate to both work with, and be a part of The Julia Project.
In the face of the many hardships "our kids" challenge our board with, Adam brings us much needed relief with his humor and quick wit, balanced with his quiet wisdom.
Emily is the second oldest of four siblings, and having grown up the daughter of two incredible children's pastors, her experience and love of children have, without a doubt, come naturally.
Her heart continues to grow towards working with children in the future, and she dreams of one day going to Africa herself. She also confesses to never wanting to grow up and believes she will always have an uncanny obsession with juice boxes.
Emily's heart is to see children in unfortunate circumstances helped and brought to a better place.
We honor the memory of her mother Laurie, through the Laurie St Pierre Scholarship Fund.
A retired Ontario Provincial Police Officer, after 32-1/2 years of service, Curt has a passion for "all things motorcycle." He serves as Founder/President of the local Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club chapter.
Hooking up with The Julia Project's annual Charity Motorcycle Run was a natural fit, and it wasn't long before we recruited his experience and abilities on our ride committee and shortly afterwards as a valued board director.
A self described army brat, his family moved 20 times in their first 19 years together while his father served in the Canadian Military. We're glad they finally settled back in Ontario, close to The Julia Project, where Curt, and his family, passionately serve "our kids," believing in our vision and purpose.
Our organization wouldn't be what it is today without the endless hours of hard work, suggestions, guidance, wisdom and prayers, that our Advisory Board volunteers bring to The Julia Project. Our "Meet The Board" page just wouldn't be complete without sharing them with you.
Jim, Jill's husband, enjoys adventure and all things outdoors. He's a natural on the mission field, which lines up with his love of travel and heart for children.
A dedicated father to their two children, and a loving husband, Jim supports Jill in her vision and shares her compassion for helping those who can't help themselves.
Not one to be in the limelight, Don is an invaluable quiet strength behind the scenes of The Julia Project.
Alongside his wife Vicki, they are always available go-to friends, advisers, "prayers," and encouragers to Jill and Jim, and The Julia Project over all.
Don has coached Jill through the entire building process of our website, and he provides ongoing guidance and web support.
Experiencing the birth pains of The Julia Project on all levels, Maeghan continues to provide endless hours of wise counsel, and design expertise.
It all started with a request to design our logo, and we've hardly given her a moment of peace since. A self confessed "Font Nerd," and dedicated to making "all things pretty," Maeghan provides hours of her creative volunteer service to strengthen us in our vision to help hurting kids.
A gifted musician who loves to travel, Maeghan totally enjoys the mission field, and is destined to Africa some time in the future. She gives her Mom the best hugs just when they're needed and keeps us all encouraged.
Thanks for stopping by to meet the board and our advisory team. We're all here to serve you and the children we meet along our journey together.
Please feel free to Contact Us if you have suggestions or questions.
