Meet The Board
An Awesome Group of Volunteers
The Board of DirectorsMeet the Board of Directors, who volunteer their time and talents to fulfill the vision of helping children around the world. The Julia Project Foundation would not be complete without them. They bring a wealth of wisdom and knowledge to the table when we meet.
Their varied backgrounds in the business world, most as parents themselves, all with brilliant wit and humor and a strong sense of compassion and justice, keep us inspired and moving forward in our vision.

Jill Carty President/FounderIn 2007, Jill finally stepped out to explore what was in her heart from a child - to meet and help children in Africa.
After her first trip to Kenya, with her husband Jim, she returned home to Canada with that compassion burning even stronger. Inspired by her, at the time five year old friend Julia, the wheels were set in motion, and the charity had it's humble beginnings.
Jill is a child at heart, who loves people, always enjoys a good laugh, and is dedicated to helping others become the best they can be. The Julia Project has become one of her passions and she's never looked back.

Adam Shebib, Vice President/TreasurerAdam has four beautiful children with his wife Sara and loves spending time in the great outdoors. He loves being a Canadian and feels privileged to live in this amazing country, but also hopes to one day travel with his family to some of the places The Julia Project has affected.
Adam is honored to be able to help children in need and considers himself fortunate to both work with, and be a part of, The Julia Project. He is excited to see what the future holds for this organization.

Cheryl Armstrong, SecretaryCheryl is a respected wife, mother, and grandmother. She is one of quiet strength with a strong sense of justice and love of missions, and works hard to see that compassion is extended to the less fortunate in society.
Cheryl enjoys renovating and decorating in her spare time.
She is optimistic of her involvement with the Julia Project and is a firm believer that one person can, in fact, make a difference.

Emily St. Pierre, DirectorEmily is the second oldest of four siblings and having grown up the daughter of two incredible children's pastors, her experience and love of children have, without a doubt, come naturally. Her heart continues to grow towards working with children in the future, and she dreams of one day going to Africa herself.
She also confesses to never wanting to grow up and believes she will always have an uncanny obsession with juice boxes.
Emily's heart is to see children in unfortunate situations and circumstances helped and brought to a better place.

Donald Bell, Web and Life Support!Don has coached Jill and advised her through the entire building process of our website. He is an always available go-to friend, advisor, 'pray er', and encourager to Jill and Jim.
Not one to be in the limelight, Don is an invaluable quiet strength behind the scenes of The Julia Project.
